The Federal University Lokoja (Fulokoja), Kogi State, has announced a new date for its 10th convocation ceremony, moving the event from October 17 to November 14, 2026.
The change was notified in a circular dated September 22, 2026 and registrar on behalf of the university management. Rebecca Amiohu Okojie was signed
According to the university, the decision to reschedule the event was due to circumstances beyond its control, particularly the local government elections in Kogi State, which were necessary to coincide with the date of the initial convocation.

The university management regrets any inconvenience caused to graduate students, parents, guardians, invited guests and other members of the university community as a result of the change.
It appealed to all affected individuals and stakeholders to understand and continue to support the institution.
Preparations for the convocation are underway
Despite the date change, the university management has assured the university community and the general public that preparations for a successful tenth convocation program are still underway.
Graduate students and other stakeholders are advised to take note of the revised date and make necessary arrangements before the ceremony.
The university also disclosed that the details of the various activities scheduled for the convocation week will be published and circulated in due course.
