The Golden ballthe most prestigious and famous award in football, which was founded in 1956 by France Football, will mark its 70th anniversary with this year’s award in London, England, for the first time on October 26.
The award, presented annually by France Football (owned by L’Équipe Group), has been co-organized with UEFA since 2024, and the symbolic choice of venue honors English footballer Stanley Matthews, the first winner of the award 70 years ago.
