“River People Walked In One Chance” – VeryDarkMan reacts to Kingsley Chinda’s APC win, re-examines 2024 claim.

Commentator on social networks VeryDarkMan reacted strongly after Kingsley Chinda emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Rivers State.

Taking to his social media page, the activist revisited an old allegation from 2024 involving Chinda and former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike over the disputed land issue in Abuja, which he claimed raises questions about how power and influence are used in governance.

“The people of Rivers State have walked into an opportunity. This is the same Kingsley Chinda I wrote about in 2024 during the land issue in Abuja where Wike allegedly awarded him land,” he said.

According to him, this is land that was originally owned by private individuals before it was allegedly confiscated and repurposed, with claims that it is located in a strategic area that could later generate significant financial value.

He further stated that the political structure in Rivers State is being manipulated for control and influence, suggesting that decisions about leadership and governance are being influenced behind the scenes.

“Wike took the land away from the rightful owners who had the original documents and then awarded it to Kingsley Chindi, probably so they could later sell it for millions because of its strategic location. This is how things are done now, they are packing the same person to take over Rivers State,” he added.

A harsh critic also asserted that Wike frustrated the current governor, Siminalayi Fubara, because he refused to work under his control, which led to political tensions in the country.

He further criticized President Bola Tinubu, blaming him for the current political situation in the country, saying governance has deteriorated under his leadership.

The remarks have since drawn mixed reactions online, with users discussing the allegations, the APC primaries and the wider political tensions in Rivers State.
