“My boyfriend really loves me, he took me to the hospital after beating me,” Lady boasts
Nigerian lady caused backlash online after she defended her boyfriend despite him allegedly physically abusing her.
According to her, the boyfriend personally took her to the hospital for treatment after allegedly beating her and later apologized for his actions.
She said in her own words:
“There is nothing anyone can tell me, I know my boyfriend truly loves me because after he stopped beating me that day, he took me to the hospital for an X-ray and still paid for my treatment. He apologized and promised not to hit me again.”
The lady explained that although her her friends advised her to leave the relationshipshe refused because they have been together for 13 years.
She also stated that her boyfriend later bought her groceries and other recovery items, insisting that no one is perfect in relationships.
“My friends advised me to leave him, but I told them I couldn’t. 13 years of relationship, where do I want to see another love? He bought me milk, Milo and a lot of things for recovery.”
“He doesn’t let me have a say in the relationship. If I try to talk whenever he talks to me, he’ll slap me. But I know that’s love, someone who loves you will correct you,” she added.
Her statement sparked fierce reactions online, with many social media users expressing concern over her take on love and abusive relationships.
