A Nigerian woman has taken to social media in tears after she said her mother and brother were kidnapped while traveling to their farm in Ogun State.
In an emotional video that went viral, the lady said that both family members left early in the morning and safely reached the farm before communication suddenly stopped.
According to her, she initially believed there was a problem with the network after her brother stopped responding to texts and calls.
“Yesterday, my mother and brother were traveling. They were traveling even before I woke up. When they arrived, I heard from my brother, I talked with my mother, we even sent pictures,” she said emotionally.
The lady explained that she later became worried after she could no longer get them.
She further revealed that she later received a voicemail from her mother allegedly informing her that they had been kidnapped.
According to her, the kidnappers initially demanded ₦100 million before the ransom was reportedly reduced to ₦50 million.
“I saw my mom’s notification came in. She left a voicemail. She called again this morning and asked how much we raised? They’re asking for cash,” she said.
The distraught lady also revealed that her mother informed her that she had not seen her brother since the abduction, claiming that both victims were allegedly separated by the kidnappers.
“I asked her where my brother was, she said that she did not see my brother, that they were carried separately,” she added.
