“Men who are married in Abuja are very evil” — Lady starts a discussion on relationships and lifestyle

AND lady has sparked widespread reactions online after criticizing some married men in Abuja for what she described as emotionally and financially manipulative relationships.
The woman shared her opinion in a viral post on social media, saying that some married men lure young women into expensive lifestyles that they cannot sustain on their own, only to later leave the relationships.
Lady accuses married men of manipulation
According to the woman, many young women initially survive on modest wages and affordable rent before entering into relationships with rich married men that drastically change their living conditions.
“You meet a girl who runs her life paying ₦400k rent. Then you start dating her and rent a ₦2 million apartment for her,” she wrote.
“You introduce her to a certain way of life and isolate her from everyone. You told her not to date anyone and to stay loyal to you, who is a married man.”
She further claimed that after a while men withdraw emotional and financial support, sometimes citing religious reasons or a renewed commitment to their marriages.
“Now you say that you have given your life to Christ and that you want to return to your wife. Shey, didn’t you think about that before?“, she added.
Social media users divided over viral post
The post drew mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing that certain relationships create an unhealthy addiction, while others argued that adults should take responsibility for their choices.
Similar conversations about transactional relationships, financial dependency and dating culture in Abuja and Lagos have surfaced repeatedly on Nigerian social media in recent years.
