“We can’t go to work” – the lady complains while the Eid prayer allegedly blocked the main road, passengers stuck

Nigerian lady took to the internet to express his frustration after the road reportedly became impassable during Eid celebrations, leaving commuters stranded and unable to reach their destinations.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she complained that vehicles had come to a complete standstill as a large crowd had reportedly gathered for Eid prayer along the main roadhindering the movement of workers and other road users.
According to her, the situation made it impossible for many people to continue their journey because both private and commercial vehicles were stuck for a long time.
“We can’t go to work. Nobody can move. Cars are standing still, people are just waiting,” she complained in the viral clip.
She questioned why such activities were allowed on a busy road, stressing that it affected innocent passengers who had no alternative routes at the time.
The lady further argued that although she respects religious ceremonies and celebrations, blocking the main thoroughfare may create unnecessary hardship for others who also have important commitments.
The video has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians supporting her concerns about roadblocks and traffic disruptions, others defending the Eid gathering, saying it was part of a significant religious celebration.
As the debate continues, many social media users are calling for better coordination between religious organizers and traffic authorities to avoid similar disruptions in the future.
