A Nigerian woman’s post revealing why her neighbor leaves her porch light on every night has left netizens in disbelief.
The lady, @BilkeesMoh on X, (formerly Twitter) revealed that during the rain at around 2am, she asked her neighbor the reason for his action.
Lady’s Post is creating a buzz
When asked, he looked at her and explained that ten years ago, his 17-year-old son ran away home after an argument.
”Ten years ago, my son ran away after an argument. He was 17. Angry. Proud.
I told him not to come back if he left.”
The boy has disappeared. No calls. There are no texts. Nothing.”But every night,” said the old man, “I leave the light on in case he forgets his way home,” The lady told how their conversation went.
However, three weeks later, she awoke to shouts from outside and saw a man hugging her elderly neighbor, both trembling.
Meanwhile, his son, who was 27 at the time of their reunion, admitted that he had been driving past the house for years.
