How to properly apply body care for glowing skin

Everyone tells you how to take care of your face, but nobody talks enough about taking care of your body. Meanwhile, glowing skin doesn’t stop at your jawline.
A good body care routine is less about buying expensive products and more about understanding layering. Order is more important than people think.

First, dry skin starts during the shower. If the soap leaves your skin feeling tight immediately after bathing, it may be removing too much moisture. Moisturizing body washes or shower oils work better, especially if your skin is already dry.
The real glow comes from layering the product while your skin is still slightly damp. Start with a light moisturizer like a body serum or essence if you use them. Then bring in your moisturizer to seal everything in. Body oils should usually come last because oils lock in moisture rather than hydrating on their own.
Exfoliating also changes everything, but overdoing it can damage your skin barrier. Two to three times a week is enough for most people. Ingredients like lactic acid, glycolic acid and urea help smooth rough texture without being too harsh.
And if you want your skin to really glow, sunscreen is important on your body too, especially on exposed areas like your chest, shoulders and arms. There’s no point investing in lightening products if sun damage keeps undoing the job.
Good body care is actually consistency over perfection. Small habits done right will always beat a shelf full of random products.
