“I didn’t even know that…” – The lady accidentally revealed the secret wedding plan of her friend from the UK to her boyfriend
AND Nigerian lady caused backlash online after she shared how she unwittingly exposed her UK friend and her boyfriend’s alleged wedding plans.
She shared the story on X (formerly Twitter) kenkenlewa, where she told how the congratulatory message to the man led to an unexpected discovery.
How the incident started
According to her, her friend who is in UK he had earlier told her that he would be coming to Nigeria soon for his wedding.
After the conversation, she decided to reach out to the same friend’s boyfriend, whom she said sponsored her trip abroad and also sent her money regularly.
The message that exposed the situation
She explained that she sent the man a card, assuming he was aware of the upcoming wedding.
In the message she wrote: “Brothers, congratulations sir. I’m really happy for you. A friend just told me about your upcoming wedding. How are the preparations going? If you need any help, let me know, sir.”
However, the man’s answer reportedly shocked her.
Apparently he answered: “Which wedding? With whom?”
Confused by her boyfriend’s answer, she took a screenshot of her conversation with the lady and sent it to him.
An unexpected breakup between friends
She added that since then the situation escalated because the woman involved called her several times.
In her words: “My friend from the UK told me that she is coming to Nigeria soon for her wedding.
After we finished talking, I decided to text her boyfriend, the same guy who sponsored her trip to the UK and still sends her money almost every week.
I said:
‘Brothers, congratulations sir. I’m really happy for you. A friend just told me about your upcoming wedding. How are the preparations going? If you need any help, let me know sir.’
Tired, this man immediately answered:
‘What wedding? With whom?’
I was confused.
I quickly recorded my conversation with his girlfriend and sent it to him.
Since then, this baby has given me over 200 missed calls 😭😭
