“I will never stop for anyone again” — Man recounts a shocking encounter in Enugu

AND man went viral after he shared a harrowing experience which he claimed changed his habit of offering free rides to strangers during heavy rain in Enugu State.
The man recounted the incident on social media, explaining that the encounter took place in 2023 while he was driving along Zik Avenue during a downpour.
According to him, he noticed a woman stuck in the rain and decided to offer her a ride to China Town bus stop, a popular area in Enugu.
The man claims the woman demanded money after the free ride
Recounting the incident, the man said the only conversation they had during the trip was when he asked the woman where she was headed.
“I picked this lady who was wet in the rain and she was walking from Zik Avenue to China Town Bus Station. The only thing I asked her was, ‘Nne, kedu ebe ina aga?’ which means ‘Where are you going?'”
He explained that after arriving at her destination and waiting for the passenger to leave the car, the woman demanded £5,000, accusing him of “using her.”
“She told me that if I don’t pay her, she will shout and tell people that I booked her as ashawo and refused to pay,” he added.

The man said he ended up giving the woman £3,000 after finding the money in his vehicle, adding that he was traumatized by the incident.
