Never ask for pity like a man – Yul Edochie

Actor Yul Edochie shared his thoughts on how society reacts to men who face emotional struggles.
Reacting to a viral video involving a media personality Roby EkpoYul stated that society rarely shows pity or emotional support to men in difficult situations.

According to him, men are often expected to silently bear the pain and move forward regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in.
He said it was painful to see a man in tears in public, adding that many people have less sympathy for emotional men than for women.
Yul argued that men are generally expected to remain strong even during emotional hardships.
His words…
“Pity doesn’t work on men? It only works on women. Nobody has time to feel sorry for a man. That’s why I was horrified to see our guy (Roby Ekpo) sitting in this chair crying! Why would you cry! Whatever happens to a man, you have to get up and keep moving”
