AND woman moved many social media users after she shared her struggles with homelessness and poverty, while insisting she would never leave her husband despite their plight.
The lady said that she and her husband had reportedly traveled as far as Abuja in search of a better life but have been homeless since January.
According to her, the couple now sleep outside and often struggle to find food, but she remains committed to staying with her husband because of the love and bond they share.
The woman says that her family abandoned her because of her marriage
Speaking emotionally, the woman explained that some members of her family turned against her because she did not want to leave her wife for another man despite their financial difficulties.
“I cannot leave my husband for any reason. Because of him, all the family members disowned me. We have been homeless since January and have been sleeping outside, but I will never leave my husband. We barely see food to eat, and people laugh at us like we’re nothing.”
A couple who hold on to faith
The woman further revealed that her grandmother kicked her out of the house after she resisted pressure to marry someone else.
She added that her husband was financially stable before she got pregnant with him, but circumstances changed later.
“He wasn’t this poor when I got pregnant because of him, but regardless I decided to stay with him. We prayed and I know that God will help us“, she added.
The touching story has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians praising her devotion, while others sought support for the struggling couple.
