Speaking on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Trump said that while he would love to be with his son and fiancee Bettina, government responsibilities and his commitment The United States would not allow him to leave WashingtonDC during this period.


He explained that he felt it was important for him to stay in the White House because of ongoing issues affecting the country.
“While I would very much like to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump family, his soon-to-be wife, Bettina, the circumstances surrounding the Government and my love for the United States of America do not allow me to do so.
“I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, DC, in the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!” he chirped.


His decision comes amid heightened political attention in Washington, with several national issues currently requiring executive presence and oversight.
Trump’s message continued to garner attention online as supporters and well-wishers congratulated the couple ahead of their wedding.
