Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has expressed strong concern after Kingsley Chinda emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship election in Rivers State.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page, the activist revisited the allegations he previously made in 2024 regarding Chinda and former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike over the controversial land allocation in Abuja. According to him, the incident raised concerns about the use of political power and influence.
VeryDarkMan claimed that the property in question was originally owned by private individuals before it was allegedly taken over and repurposed. He claimed that the land, which was claimed to be in a valuable location, could later be sold for huge profits.
He argued that the political process in Rivers State appears to be controlled by powerful persons working behind the scenes to maintain influence over the leadership of the state.
“This is the same Kingsley Chinda that I talked about in 2024 regarding the land in Abuja,” he said. “The land was allegedly taken from the original deeded owners and later assigned to him because of how valuable the area could become in the future.”
The activist also alleged that former Governor Wike fell out with the current Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, as Fubara allegedly refused to act under outside influence, contributing to the political crisis in the state.
VeryDarkMan further criticized President Bola Tinubu, blaming his administration for the country’s current political and governance challenges.
His comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians discussing the allegations, the APC primaries and the ongoing political situation in Rivers State.
