“Attack a lady in a trance” – A soldier recounts the alleged invasion of the church, the pastor’s kidnapping by bandits

Nigerian soldier sparked backlash online after sharing a disturbing incident involving an alleged attack on a church by gunmen.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the attackers allegedly stormed the premises of a church where a young lady was allegedly observing a seven-day spiritual trance and prayer.

Recounting the event, he said:

“Armed men stormed the church and a young lady who was in a seven-day trance was allegedly assaulted during the attack.”

The soldier further stated that the church the pastor was kidnapped during the invasionwhile community members were thrown into panic after the incident.

He added that security efforts are ongoing, revealing that they have been unsuccessfully searching for the pastor’s post for the past three days.

“The pastor was kidnapped and we have been searching for his location for three days,” he added.

The incident has sparked concern online as many Nigerians continue to call for improved security in communities and places of worship.
