Chineye Otabil shares self-care lessons at Aegis Global Women’s Retreat 2025.

There’s something quietly brave about bringing beauty and skincare into the leadership conversation. That’s exactly what Chineye Otabil done on Aegis Global Women’s Retreat this year, held from October 29 to November 1, 2025, at The Tawny, United Kingdom.
Chineye Otabil, Nigerian beauty entrepreneur and founder Beauty Chiniella and Beauty Vardashe has spent more than a decade working with women leaders, creatives and changemakers. Her signature master class on beauty, skin care and the discipline of self-care at the Aegis Global Women’s Retreat delivered a powerful message: self-care is not an indulgence, but a strategic tool for women in leadership.

The Masterclass explored skincare routines to suit even the busiest of mornings, makeup looks that can take you from the boardroom to the gala and solutions tailored to our different skin needs.
But products and techniques aside, the bottom line was – how you present yourself is part of your power. Chineye challenged the notion that caring about one’s appearance is superficial or less important than “real business.” She reframed self-care as the power to show up with confidence, authenticity, and energy.

Why this is important
In a world where leadership is often equated with difficult decisions, long hours and visible achievements, Chineye’s message was simple – presence is also important.
“Presence isn’t just about what you say in the room, it’s about how you show up in the room. When you invest a few minutes each day in taking care of your skin, highlighting your features, and stepping into your day with confidence, you’re not only enhancing your beauty, you’re strengthening your leadership,” she stated.
Concluding her session with a reflection, Chineye urged women leaders to see self-care as part of the legacy they are building, as a model for younger women, daughters and rising leaders to look up to.
The Masterclass was sponsored by Beauty Eloisea cosmetics brand based in Great Britain, and Varda Beauty products.
