Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has sparked widespread reactions online after she warned people not to share private conversations after someone’s death.

During a recent podcast appearance, the actress criticized the growing trend of unanswered direct messages and emotional tributes after death, especially from individuals who allegedly ignored the person while they were alive.

She expressed strong displeasure with such a practice, saying, “All those people who DM people when they’re dead, if you DM me, I’ll wake up, slap you, and go back to your grave. Don’t try.”

Etinosa also lashed out at some film industry colleagues and producers, accusing them of ignoring requests for cooperation while people were alive, only to later share sentimental posts after their deaths.

She further warned that anyone who tried to publish such private messages after her death would face “serious consequences”, even if only in their dreams.

“DM if you didn’t answer, my enemy will die now. If you try that and announce ‘Oh we were supposed to work together, I was looking forward to working with you,’ what I’m going to do to you in a dream, you wouldn’t believe it,” she added.

Her comments come amid ongoing online conversations following reports of the Hollywood actor’s death, prompting colleagues and fans to share old messages and pay tribute.

The actress’ statements have since drawn mixed reactions, with many agreeing that some of the posthumous tributes seem disingenuous and fueled by social media attention.
