If you have to be a “running girl” for a living, do it, but don’t stay there — Shaffy Bello

Nollywood veteran Shaffy Bello sparked an online debate after sharing her views on commercial sex work during a recent television interview.
Speaking of Moray Show, the actress stated that she does not judge women who engage in commercial sex, especially those who do so because of a difficult financial situation or the need to survive.

According to her, people often encounter different realities in their lives, and she believes that such women deserve respect, not condemnation.
Shaffy Bello, however, advised that women who enter sex work because of difficulties should avoid staying in it permanently.
She suggested that it should not become a long-term lifestyle if it started as a means of survival.
“If what you’re doing now is ‘running girl’ to make money, you don’t have to stick around. I understand that, I never judge. If you’re going to be ash, do it well. Do it well with respect and full chest.
“Don’t stay there, though. If that’s what you have to do now to earn a living.. Some girls do it because they need to feed their mom, send their younger ones to school. I understand that. Don’t stay there, though, my dears,” she advised.
