“It’s not trending like it should” – Tiwa Savage reacts to Oyo school kidnapping, complains about lack of attention

Afrobeat singer Tiwa Savage has reacted to the kidnapping of school children and teachers in Ogbomos, Oyo State.
The music star expressed her shock at the incident, revealing that she only recently came across the reports online through posts shared by singer Spyro and media personality KieKie.

“I just started seeing the kidnapping that happened in Oyo yesterday. Spyro’s post came up,” she said.
She further explained that she started reaching out to people to get the full story because the incident wasn’t showing up enough on her timeline or getting the level of attention she expected on social media.
The mother-of-one revealed that she later saw a post claiming the incident had already happened almost two weeks ago, which made her even more upset about the situation.
“It’s not trending enough. It’s not trending as much as it should be. Then I saw a post from KieKie saying the incident happened almost two weeks ago,” she added.
Her reaction followed a report on bandits attack a school in Oriire community, Oyo State, where the principal, students and teachers were abducted, while one of the teachers was allegedly beheaded, while dozens of children are still in captivity.
The Ogbomos abduction incident continues to cause concern as many Nigerians and public figures continue to call for immediate action to ensure the release of the victims.
