Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has joined Nike’s latest Super Eagles fashion campaign, catching the attention of fans on social media.
Popularly known as Mama G, the celebrated actress is featured in the latest collaboration between Nike and Nigerian creative designer Olaolu Slawn.
The campaign also featured Super Eagles players Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare alongside former Nigerian captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha.
Patience Ozokwor has appeared in eye-catching promotional photos wearing pieces from the recently released Nike and Super Eagles collection, which combines football-inspired fashion with a modern streetwear aesthetic.
Sharing details of the collection on Instagram, Nike announced:
“GO SLAWN OR GO HOME. NIKE ’26 COLLAB KITS. EARLY ACCESS AVAILABLE AT @OLAOLUSLAWN. COMING TO SNKRS & SELECT RETAILERS THIS SUMMER.”
The campaign has since caused a stir online, with many praising the fusion of Nigerian football culture and bold creative expression.
Meanwhile, Patience Ozokwor has recently reacted to growing online chatter about actress Blessing Onwukwe being considered the next big “villain queen” in Nollywood.
The buzz followed Blessing Onwukwe’s performance in Monica, Uche Montana’s film, where she portrayed the character of Mama Monica.
Her role earned praise from viewers, who applauded the way she combined authority, cunning and drama on screen.
The conversation gained more attention after a social media site shared a meme showing Patience Ozokwor symbolically handing over the title of “villain queen” to Onwukwe.
