“Stop giving money to men” — media personality Mide Oni warns women

Media personality Mide Oni sparked conversations online after advising women not to financially support men relationshipsregardless of the situation.
Speaking on her program, The Mide Show, she claimed that men should be financially independent and avoid relying on the women they date for money.
She insisted that women completely refuse any request for financial assistance from men.
“Please women stop giving money to men. There is no circumstance that would justify giving a man even one pea. If a man asks you for money, tell him that Mide Oni said that there is no circumstance that would justify him giving you a single pea,” she said.
Oni also directed her remarks at men, urging them to prioritize hard work and stop depending on women for financial support.
“Go and work, because your friends are working. Do they have two heads? Don’t come asking me for money,” she said.
Addressing common criticisms about financial expectations in relationships, she rejected the idea that partners should automatically support each other with money.
Responding to such views, she added: “And you know, when I said this before, there will be men in the comments who will say, but why can’t I ask the women I date for money?
“Isn’t that a give and take? Isn’t that a relationship? Shouldn’t we be able to help each other? Sorry, lady. Sorry, damsel in distress,”
She argued that men should focus on self-reliance and building their incomes instead of seeking financial help from the women they are in a relationship with.
