Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has reacted strongly after she discovered that a TikTok user is allegedly using her photos to make fake obituary posters.
In a video she shared, the actress expressed her shock that someone allegedly used around 100 of her pictures to falsely declare her dead on the platform. She described the act as disturbing and unacceptable, adding that she would not forgive the individual if he ended up identifying himself.
Toyin Abraham warned the person behind the posts to remove them immediately, noting that such content is harmful and misleading. She also insisted that a lot of people were following the matter online, expressing her displeasure that no one stepped in until she decided to speak up.
While speaking about the situation, the mother-of-one also made emotional remarks, stating that neither she, nor her husband, nor her children, nor even the person responsible will experience an untimely death.
She also used the opportunity to promote her latest film and invited her fans to support her by watching it in theaters.
Following her reaction, many fans took to social media to defend her, questioning why anyone would create content that suggests death or wish such harm on others. Some users even called on activist Omoyele Sowore to pay attention to the situation before it escalates.
However, not everyone agreed with the reaction on the Internet. A section of users argued that while the act against Toyin Abraham was wrong, there are pressing social issues that could have been highlighted instead of focusing on a faceless online troll.
