“Real Madrid must talk to me”

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has decided to calm uncertainty over his future at the club, insisting he wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu despite ongoing speculation surrounding his contract situation.
The Brazil the international has entered the final year of his current deal, leading to heightened scrutiny over whether Real Madrid will secure him a long-term extension.
Clubs from Saudi Arabia have continued to monitor the 25-year-old, while reports have also linked Manchester City with a possible move.
Vinicius says that talks with Madrid are not yet underway
Despite the uncertainty, Vinicius indicated he remains relaxed about the situation and expects talks with the club to resume in due course.


Speaking to Caze TV, the winger said: “I never imagined I would leave Real Madrid. I’m making the most of every minute I’m here because it’s the club of my dreams.”
He added: “I want to stay here for the rest of my life. I have a contract until 2027, I have to talk to Real Madrid and Real Madrid have to talk to me.”
Vinicius also stressed that there is mutual trust between him and the club’s hierarchy, saying: “The club is calm and so am I. The president trusts me and I trust him.”
Real Madrid are believed to remain confident that an agreement will eventually be reached with one of the club’s most influential players.

Apart from his club future, Vinicius also reflected on his performances for Brazil ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The former Flamengo striker admitted he has not consistently reproduced his club form at international level and acknowledged criticism surrounding Brazil’s recent performances.
“In my club we play every three days and we can show it. It’s more difficult with the national team and I wasn’t at the same level,” he said.
Vinicius urged Brazil to improve collectively ahead of the tournament, adding: “The time has come for us all to row together, where we can change our history and bring fun back to our country.”
He also described the World Cup as a lifelong ambition, saying: “To represent Brazil at the biggest football tournament is a dream I’ve had since childhood.”
