Nigerian singer Peruzzi has become a hot topic online after comments about his success in the music industry and the alleged spiritual influence behind his fame.
Speaking during a recent chat, the singer revealed that a friend once introduced him to a babalawo, claiming that the cleric worked for top Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Davido.
According to Peruzzi, he rejected the proposal because it went against his beliefs and personal values.
he said:
“I had a friend who once told me he knew a babalawa who did it for Wizkid and David but I refused because I wasn’t brought up like that and I strongly believe in my songwriting.”
The statement quickly sparked massive reactions online, with many Nigerians debating whether the singer was indirectly suggesting that Wizkid and Davido’s success was linked to spiritual practices.
