AND woman sparked emotional reactions online after admitting that her affair with her sister’s husband led to the collapse of their marriage and destroyed her relationship with her sibling of more than seven years.
A woman recounts the affair that ended her sister’s marriage
The woman shared her story anonymously on social media, revealing that she deeply regrets allowing herself to become emotionally involved with her sister’s husband years ago.
According to her, the situation escalated after the man repeatedly approached her, which eventually led to betrayal that permanently damaged the family relationship.
She admitted that her actions were wrong and said that she lived with guilt and regret since the incident happened.
“Many years ago I made the biggest mistake of my life and I regret it every day since then. My sister’s husband began to approach me and instead of avoiding him completely, I allowed myself to be carried away“, she admitted.
“Everything was scattered after my sister found out. Their marriage ended and to this day she believes I destroyed her home. Maybe he’s right“, added the woman.
Attempts at reconciliation failed
The woman explained that despite repeated apologies and interventions by family members and friends, her sister refused every attempt at reconciliation and blocked all communication with her.
She further revealed that she has since become a Christian and changed her lifestyle, but is still struggling emotionally over the broken relationship.
“I begged her countless times. Even after people talked to her on my behalf, she blocked me everywhere. It’s been more than seven years,” she said.
The story drew mixed reactions online, with some users insisting that betrayal between family members is unforgivable, while others argued that healing and forgiveness are possible over time.
