The JAMB 2026 mop up exam is scheduled for June 13

The Joint Matriculation and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled the Unified Matriculation Examination (UTME) for Saturday, June 13, 2026, for candidates who could not appear for the examination despite biometric checks.
JAMB this was confirmed in a statement made by her spokesperson Fabian Benjamin on Monday. According to the board, the clearing test is for the candidates who applied for 2026 UTME but they could not take the exam due to technical difficulties and other problems that arose during the process.
“The Joint Matriculation and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026 for the conduct of the UTME screening for all candidates who presented and were biometrically verified for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but could not appear for one reason or the other,” it is stated in the press release.
JAMB stated that the 2026 UTME was held between April 23 and 29, 2026, but several examination centers encountered technical problems, preventing many candidates from sitting the examination.
The board also indicated that some results were removed due to exam violations and that certain applicants who took the exam could not be biometrically verified.
He reported that all the affected candidates have been identified for the cleanup operation.
JAMB described the activity as the final part of the annual UTME process, stating that it will provide an opportunity to resolve all outstanding issues concerning candidates who encountered difficulties while presenting themselves properly in the examination.
The board has invited the affected candidates to write their examination notices starting from Saturday, June 6, 2026.
“Affected candidates are hereby encouraged to print their examination notification certificates, familiarize themselves with their examination centers and make all necessary preparations before the examination date as after this cleansing exercise, no candidate will have the opportunity to take the 2026 UTME,” the management stated.
The 2026 UTME was held in April and more than two million candidates sat for the examination across the country.
JAMB has now released the results, maintained the minimum admission scores of 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics and provided a portal for students who wish to change their course or institution.
