Who is the Premier League player of the season 25/26?

Eight players were nominated for the best player of the Premier League in the 25/26 season.

Three Arsenal title contenders Gabriel, David Raya and Declan Rice were nominated, as were Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo, Brentford striker Igor Thiago, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)

Bruno Fernandes he was the driving force behind Manchester United’s climb up the Premier League table to third place, securing UEFA Champions League status for the following season.

The United captain has eight goals and 19 assists in 33 Premier League games and is on course to equal Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne’s record of 20 assists in a season.

Fernandes scored and created various goals with vision and precision, and his EA SPORTS The March Player of the Month title equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of six.

Gabriel (Arsenal)

The Arsenal centre-back contributed on both sides of the ball, dominating the heart of the defense and laying the foundations for the Gunners’ quest for their first Premier League title in 22 years. Arsenal have conceded at least 26 goals in the competition this season, and the Brazilian has played a significant role.

Gabriel has a staggering 88% pass success rate, won more than two-thirds of his face-offs, made 34 blocks and 23 interceptions, scored three goals and set up another four.

Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest)

Gibbs-White, nominated for the second consecutive season, has stepped up in the absence of last season’s top scorer Chris Wood, becoming Forest’s main attacking threat.

The England international scored 13 goals, almost double his 2024/25 total, and assisted a further four. The Forest captain’s outstanding performance in April, when he scored four goals and assisted in just three games, earned him his first ever EA SPORTS Player of the Month and helped Forest retain their place in the Premier League for another season.

Erling Haaland (Man City)

It’s business as usual for Manchester City’s prolific Norwegian striker, who is on the verge of winning his third Coca-Cola Golden Boot in four seasons after scoring 26 goals in 34 games.

Erling Haaland started the season in style, scoring nine goals in City’s first seven games, setting the tone for another incredible season in which he became the Premier League’s top scorer in just 111 games, 13 short of the league’s all-time top scorer, Alan Shearer.

Haaland was also in incredible form from the end of August to mid-October, scoring 22 goals in 12 consecutive games in all competitions.

David Raya (Arsenal)

David RaySpanish goalkeeper, won the Coca-Cola Golden Glove for the third consecutive season following his exploits between the goals for Arsenal in the 2025/26 season.

Raya has 18 clean sheets and was an ever-present in Mikel Arteta’s top-of-the-table side, making big saves at key moments, including a stunning stop from Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yankub Minteh, who won the Coca-Cola Lifeguard of the Month award for the third time in December.

Declan Rice (Arsenal)

Declan Rice he is regarded as one of the cleanest and most accurate strikers in the league and has been the driving force behind Arsenal’s title challenge.

The 27-year-old has thrived in the No.8 position but has also shown versatility when called upon as an emergency right-back.

Rice has stepped up impressively in the absence of injured captain Martin Odegaard, and his five assists show how effectively he’s adjusted to the added responsibilities at the end.

Antoine Semenyo (Man City)

Antoine Semenyothe Ghana international has played a key role for the two clubs this season, joining Manchester City in the January transfer window after an impressive start to the 2025/26 season at AFC Bournemouth.

He made an immediate impact at his new club, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five Premier League appearances in February, earning his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month accolade. He continued to shine in a variety of attacks, including down both flanks, forwards and midfield, fitting in effortlessly with Pep Guardiola’s side as they attempt to catch Arsenal in the title chase.

Igor Thiago (Brentford)

After an initial season full of injuries in the first English league, Igor Thiago he more than made up for lost time with an incredible first full season in the Premier League. The powerful striker gave Manchester City’s Haaland a run for his money in his quest for the Golden Boot, scoring 22 times.

His two goals against Sunderland in January took his season tally to 16, the most goals the Brazilian has scored in a single Premier League season.

The Manchester United Midfielder Bruno Fernandes equaled the Premier League record for most assists in a season when he scored his 20th goal against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

He also scored eight goals in 37 appearances, helping United finish third and qualify for the Champions League.

Fernandes has created more chances (132) than any other Premier League player this season. He has 43 more than second best player Dominik Szoboszlai of Liverpool.

Fernandes becomes the first United player to win the award since defender Nemanja Vidić in 2011.

The winner is chosen by combining the votes of the public with the votes of a commission of football experts. On Sunday, United travel to Brighton for the season finale.

O’Reilly wins Young Player Award.

Nico O’Reilly Manchester City won the title of young player of the Premier League season.

The 21-year-old had a successful season, scoring five goals and three assists in 34 league games.

The versatile full-back, who joined City’s academy aged eight, earned his first senior cap for England in November and was named in Thomas Tuchel’s 26-man World Cup squad.

He won the award ahead of City teammates Ryan Cherki, Junior Kroupi and Bournemouth’s Alex Scott, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, Brentford’s Michael Kayode and West Ham’s Matheus Fernandes.
